The Visegrád Four (V4) is a regional cooperation of four Central European countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia, established in 1991. The members of the group signed a declaration in Visegrád (Hungary) on close cooperation towards European integration. Following the accession of the V4 member states to the EU, the group focused on promoting cooperation and stability in the wider Central European region. A postage stamp designed by the Polish designer Agnieszka Sobczyńska celebrates the 30th anniversary of the close political, economic and social relationship between the members of the Visegrád Group.
Meeting of Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács with the President of the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium, Éliane Tillieux. During their meeting, they talked about the preparations for the Hungarian V4 Presidency starting in July and the plans concerning the 2022 centenary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Hungary and Belgium.
Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács had a very good online meeting with Mr. Werner De Wolf, the CEO of Schréder S.A. about the company's manufacturing and R&D activities in Hungary. The Schréder lighting company has been present on the Hungarian market since 1983. The company had a key role in the world-famous night lighting of Budapest, such as Andrássy Avenue, the Opera, the Castle District and so on.
Online meeting of the V4 Ambassadors organized by the V4 Polish Presidency with Director General for Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, Anick Van Calster. They discussed topics such as V4-Benelux cooperation, COVID-19 crisis management, EU enlargement and the policy of Belgium on Sahel.
Lieutenant General, Dr. Zoltán Orosz, the Hungarian Military Representative to the NATO and EU Military Committees paid a farewell visit to Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács. We are thankful for the close cooperation. We wish him good health, strength and a happy life!
