Meeting of the Hungarian and Belgian ministers of European affairs

On 8 September, H.E. Judit Varga, Minister of Justice of Hungary had an excellent and extensive consultation with H.E. Hadja Lahbib, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade of Belgium. The ministers discussed the preparation of the upcoming 2023-24 Spanish-Belgian-Hungarian EU Presidency Trio as well as current bilateral and EU matters. They also reviewed the state of the war in Ukraine, energy issues, rule of law and many other topics. Our Embassy is looking forward to working together with our Hungarian colleagues and Belgian counterparts to make the crucial Belgian-Hungarian EU Presidency year of 2024 a success, right after the Belgian-Hungarian diplomatic centennial
